It’s official. Almost six months to the day since partnering withTriple Eight Race Engineering, Red Bull is thrilled to announce that Red BullRacing Australia has arrived and is ready to bring a new attitude to pit lane.

It’s an exciting day in RedBull’s proud motorsports history to realise a long-held dream and pull thecovers off what is anticipated to be one of Red Bull’s greatest evercollaborations.

The team worked furiously inthe off-season to prepare the all-new Holden VF Commodores that were todayunveiled for the first time in Sydney by reigning champion Jamie Whincup andthree-time series champion Craig Lowndes.

The cars are also the firstbuilt to the 2013 V8 Supercars Car of the Future specifications.

Already Triple Eight has fourdriver championships and as many team championships, and with Red Bull’sinvolvement the team now known as Red Bull Racing Australia hopes to add tothose achievements – starting with Adelaide’s Clipsal 500 on February 28.

“Red Bull is known world-wideas a champion of all things motorsport and I believe with Triple Eight, we canbuild on the success of both organisations,” Triple Eight Race Engineeringowner Roland Dane said.

Red Bull Australia and NewZealand managing director Jason Sargent added:

“Red Bull has an affinity withall things motorsport that stretches back four decades to our inaugural athletesigning of Formula 1 driver Gerhard Berger. Since then Red Bull has becomesynonymous with Formula 1, MotoGP, the World Rally Championship, Air Race,motocross and endurance racing. V8 Supercars has long been a passion of oursand after years of involvement with some very talented athletes such as MarcosAmbrose and Rick Kelly, the stars finally aligned to allow us the opportunityfor full team involvement.
