Tickford Racing full-time recruit Thomas Randle is celebrating 12 months since he completed his last round of treatment for testicular cancer.

Randle will make his full-time main game debut when the 2022 Repco Supercars Championship commences in Newcastle on March 4.

The 2020 Super2 champion finished his last round of chemotherapy on New Year’s Day in 2021.

Randle battled the disease for 12 months, yet still managed to win the Super2 crown amid the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Victorian,

who combined with James Courtney to finish seventh in December’s Repco Bathurst 1000, said a lot had changed in his life in the past year.

"What a year it has been," Randle posted to his social media accounts.

"Finished my chemo treatment, got a couple of trophies here and there, got to take young adolescent cancer patients for hot laps, had the opportunity to do some Supercar wildcard rounds, got on the board of the Youth Cancer Action Board, and met some incredible people along the way.

"All whilst announcing that I’ll be stepping up full time in Supercars in 2022 representing some incredible global brands in Castrol and BP."

The 25-year-old impressed in his 2021 wildcard appearances, recording a top 10 result in the Darwin opener in June.

He gained high praise from Tickford team boss Tim Edwards at Mount Panorama, helping the squad to secure third in the teams' championship.

"I have so many people to thank for this year... you all know who you are," he continued.

"I couldn’t have got through this year without my friends, family, and supporters. I hope everyone has a safe and happy New Years. Just remember what’s important in life.

"Bring on 2022."

The 13-event 2022 Repco Supercars Championship will commence in Newcastle on March 4-6. Tickets for the event are on sale now.

The 13-round draft calendar was released during the Repco Bathurst 1000 weekend.
