An incident between Jack Le Brocq and Andre Heimgartner has triggered a red flag to Race 4 in Tasmania.
Le Brocq and Heimgartner interlocked wheels at Turn 7 at the end of the first lap.
Heimgartner's car was slowed by the gravel trap, but Le Brocq wasn't as lucky.
The #34 Truck Assist Commodore suffered major front-end damage in the crash.
Le Brocq managed to alight from his car under his own steam. Heimgartner's car was repaired on the grid.
"I'm all good, just a little bit winded," Le Brocq said.
"It's unfortunate, I just we hope we can get it fixed for the next one.
"I thought I had enough overlap on Andre... an unfortunate wheel lock there.
"It's a shame, we just wanted to get through this race cleanly."
It came after Broc Feeney took the lead off the line from pole man and teammate Shane van Gisbergen.
The field was brought under the control of the BP Ultimate Safety Car.
The race was stopped for approximately 20 minutes as officials retrieved the car and repaired the wall.
The race restarted after two laps under the Safety Car.
Cars will return to the track for the 44-lap Race 4 at 1:00pm AEDT.
The NED Whisky Tasmania SuperSprint will close with Race 5 at 3:55pm AEDT.
