Team 18 and Preston Hire have announced the renewal of their naming rights sponsorship for the 2017 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.

The specialised hire equipment brand partnered with Team 18 at the beginning of the 2016 season when Charlie Schwerkolt announced his stand-alone one car team with driver Lee Holdsworth.

Despite an incredibly testing year with numerous challenges faced, Preston Hire will proudly stand alongside Team 18 in the 2017 season and are confident that good things are on the horizon for the team.

Preston Hire Group Managing Director, Markus Preston, said “Preston Hire has a number of core values that we uphold across our entire business.

"Determination and stability are two of these values. We believe that success comes through resilience and stability ensures a secure base for everyone.”

“What better time to demonstrate these values than to announce our continued partnership with Charlie, Lee and all the staff at Team 18 after a heartbreaking result at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000. We hope this demonstrates our continued belief and support in a really impressive group of people. Bring on the good times and successes that are just waiting for us!” Preston said.

Team 18 Owner, Charlie Schwerkolt, said, “So proud to announce our naming rights partner for 2017 today. Preston Hire has been with my team for over two years now and has given our team incredible support and been an amazing naming rights partner. Whilst it's been a very challenging first year as a solo team, Preston Hire have proudly stood alongside our team all the way."

"The team has been fortunate to lock away our driver Lee Holdsworth for a further two years, our naming rights partner for another year, a new car, and combined with our amazing staff and all our other partners, we are looking forward to some exciting and successful times ahead,” Schwerkolt said.
