Chris Pither will see out his final two PremiAir Racing rounds in the tribute Coca-Cola livery.

Pither will carry the throwback colours on his #22 PremiAir Coca-Cola Racing Supercar for the remainder of the 2022 season.

The New Zealander raced a special scheme in Bathurst in tribute to the 1995 #7 Coke Commodore.

That car was raced to third in the Great Race by Wayne Gardner and Neil Crompton.

Pither and Cameron Hill crossed the line 21st in the Repco Bathurst 1000.

The #22 entry finished the race despite the Commodore picking up power steering issues.

PremiAir Racing and sponsor Coca-Cola have opted to keep the look for both the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 and VALO Adelaide 500.

The Gold Coast and Adelaide rounds will be Pither’s last as a full-time PremiAir driver.

The team announced the Kiwi’s departure earlier this month, before revealing Tim Slade as a 2023 driver.

“The #22 PremiAir Coca-Cola Racing Supercar looked absolutely fantastic at the Bathurst 1000,” PremiAir Racing Team Principal Matt Cook said.

“With the support of Coca-Cola, we have decided to keep the look for the remainder of the season.

"It is such a great looking livery, why would we want to change it!

"We are so pleased we can take this opportunity to keep the livery on the car as we look to finish out the season in the best fashion possible.”

Pither added: "This livery was hugely popular at the Bathurst 1000.

“We had so many fans coming up to us to tell us about their memories of the car.

"I think it is fantastic that we are keeping the look for the final two rounds of the season.

"The #22 PremiAir Coca-Cola Racing Supercar is going to cut a fine figure on the streets of Surfers Paradise and Adelaide for sure.

"I look forward to racing hard and seeing what we can do as we try our best to finish the season on a high."

PremiAir Racing, based out of nearby Arundel, will also reveal a special Gold Coast livery for James Golding in due course.

Poor weather prevented the livery being revealed on the Gold Coast on Sunday.

Pither and Golding are 22nd and 25th heading to Surfers Paradise.
