Ford’s Pepsi Max Crew has undergone one of its most significant livery changes ever, as from Perth both of its Ford Falcons will be adorned in the same livery for the first time in the factory team’s history.

The new livery on the Pepsi Max Crew FPR Falcons of Mark Winterbottom and Will Davison showcases a much simpler look than previous Pepsi Max V8 Supercars while also integrating FPR’s famous blue paint scheme and Falcon design.

PepsiCo Beverages Australia Brand Manager Adam Burling believes the new look is quite bold.

“We’re very excited about our new livery being unleashed for the Perth round as it is a crisp and clean design,” Burling said.

“It allows the two cars to take a strong stance together against the rest of the V8 Supercars field.

“Aside from winning, for Pepsi Max it’s all about doing things differently and standing out in V8 Supercars, so we enjoy the opportunity to change up the liveries every once in a while to keep it interesting and add some spark to the grid.

“The Pepsi Max Crew still has a few surprises up its sleeve for the back half of 2013, so fans should stay tuned to see what’s next.”

Pepsi Max Crew Team Principal Tim Edwards hopes fans enjoy the team’s first ever single livery look.

“While I really like the new look of our cars it will be strange for fans to adjust initially as they’ve never seen our cars dressed in exactly the same colours,” Edwards said.

“We dabbled with black a year or so ago when FPV launched its Black Edition Falcon GT and I know how much people liked that so I think everyone will be happy to see it return in a much bigger way.

“That said, they are still very much FPR Falcons but we are enjoying Pepsi Max giving things a bit of a change every once in a while. The black and FPR blue work well together.”

The new livery will be seen on track for the first time this Friday during practice for the Chill Perth 360, the fourth event on the 2013 V8 Supercars calendar.
