Grove Racing has taken its new identity as Penrite Racing to Melbourne’s iconic Luna Park.

The Braeside squad unveiled the livery David Reynolds and Lee Holdsworth will campaign in 2022.

Australian oil brand Penrite has taken naming rights of both Ford Mustang Supercars, will will make their competitive debuts in Sydney in March.

Reynolds and Holdsworth kicked off Australia Day celebrations at Luna Park on Wednesday.

The Bathurst-winning drivers, who form the most experienced line-up on the 2022 grid, posed with their cars at the famous St Kilda venue.

"Today is Australia Day and we have come out early to reveal our Penrite livery and we thought there was no better place than Luna Park,” Reynolds said.

"This place is an icon of Australia and Melbourne, and Penrite is an all-Australian brand, so we brought those two things together.

"We have a test day coming up in February and it will be the most important day to start the year.

"We have heaps of new components to try, heaps of ideas and new people to upskill and train for the day.

"It is going to be a huge day.”

Holdsworth, whose last start was a Great Race win in December, was excited to make his full-time return.

The four-time race winner returns for a first full campaign since 2020.

"It’s Australia Day, we’re outside Luna Park, a great Australian icon, and we’re launching our two car Penrite Racing team,” Holdsworth said.

"The cars look fantastic, and it looks really professional having two cars that look the same.

"It’s great that Penrite has stepped up their support for the team to have the two cars look identical.

"We’re looking forward to having them on track... the season can’t come quick enough.”

The team will test at Winton on February 22 ahead of the opening round of the Repco Supercars Championship at Sydney Motorsport Park in March.
