Penalties confirmed

The Stewards have handed down a range of penalties after a chaotic, rain-affected race at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide.
Even though conditions were difficult, the rules on passing remained and two drivers were handed down Championship point penalties.
Chaz Mostert and Garth Tander each lost 15 championship points for contact with Rick Kelly and Jamie Whincup respectively.
Funnily enough, the combination of penalties change the Championship order, elevating Whincup to second on the table ahead of Tander, who now sits third.

Tander was also investigated for an incident with Tim Slade, which was deemed to have been no breach of the rules.
The penalty for failing to add the minimum fuel drop of 140 litres during the race was clarified as a 60-second time penalty, meaning the DJR Team Penske cars of Fabian Coulthard and Scott Pye, among others, tumbled down the final order.
