Nissan Motorsport is looking to continue its strong form at the Castrol EDGE Gold Coast 600 this weekend.

After scoring a remarkable podium finish at the Bathurst 1000 two weeks ago - plus three cars inside the top 10 finishers - the four-car factory team is aiming to maintain its positive momentum at the famous Queensland street course.

The Gold Coast event is renowned for its party-like atmosphere, and the Norton-backed Nissans of James Moffat/Taz Douglas and Michael Caruso/Dean Fiore are sure to add to that flavour this weekend.

Symantec, the makers of Norton, has today announced a donation of AUD$260,000 to not-for-profit charity beyondblue, adding to the $300,000 it donated in October last year.

To assist in the awareness of cyberbullying - a matter close to the heart of Norton and beyondblue - the two Norton Nissan Altima V8s will feature unique branding on the sides of the cars.

Using 'mateship' and 'camaraderie' as the inspiration behind the new branding, the cars will display the nicknames of the four drivers on the doors of the Altimas.

Moffat and Douglas's #360 entry will feature 'Moff Dog' and 'Tazzie D' on the doors, while the #36 car of Caruso and Fiore will have 'Caruse' and 'Fonzie' down the side.

"It's fantastic that Norton is able to deliver another huge donation to beyondblue and, as drivers and as a race team, we've been more than happy to raise awareness for such a good cause," said James Moffat.

"Mateship and camaraderie is a fundamental element of beyondblue, and while 'Moff Dog' might look odd down the side of a race car, it's the friendship that we have within the team that helps us achieve at the highest level - both on and off the track.

"The Gold Coast event has always had that 'fun' factor too, and we hope that this initiative can continue to raise awareness."

It is the second time this season that beyondblue has influenced the look of the Norton Nissans after Caruso's #36 car changed to a full beyondblue livery at the Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park earlier this year. At that race meeting, Caruso qualified on pole and finished third overall.
