Working with various teams and drivers during the Sydney test, Supercars has amended changes to the windscreen marking designs.

All 25 brand-new Gen3 cars tested together at Sydney Motorsport Park on Wednesday.

Following feedback from the Sydney test, there will be changes to the windscreen design, position and adjusted size requirements of the driver name and competition number.

The number is currently located on the top right of the windscreen, with the driver’s surname on the top left.

Some teams trialled changes during the Sydney test; notably, Red Bull Ampol Racing, Shell V-Power Racing Team and Walkinshaw Andretti United perforated the numbers.

The surname on Shane van Gisbergen’s #97 Red Bull Ampol Camaro was also shifted towards the centre.

The surname is 80mm high — down from 110mm — with the number remaining 150mm high.

The number is located 20mm in from the passenger side and level below the upper front windscreen band.

It opens up the driver’s vision, with the surname and number now on the passenger’s side.

The new design will be used from the Thrifty Newcastle 500, which will open the new season on March 10-12.
