Team 18 has revealed a new major backer and livery for Scott Pye’s #20 Supercar.

Watchmaker company Seiko has been announced as the naming rights sponsor of Pye’s Commodore.

Seiko has been a long-time sponsor of Team 18, with 2022 its ninth year with the Charlie Schwerkolt-owned squad.

Pye’s #20 entry will be adorned by a striking red, black and white livery, which was created by Nick Moss.

Team 18 brought the livery to life with PPG paint and Ball & Doggett vinyl.

The livery launch also coincides with the release of Seiko's brand new Seiko 5 Supercars watch.

Seiko is on the flanks of the car, with Nulon and Toyota Forklifts taking up prime position on the bonnet.

BP Ultimate will feature on the rear wing of the car.

The #20 Seiko 5 Sports Supercar also features team partners Hino Trucks, Yuasa Batteries, Mondiale VGL, Goodyear Fleet, Kenworth Trucks, Paclease, Barry Bourke Motors, Manitou, Waverley Forklifts, ELWD Workwear, Taubmans, Bell Collision, Super Spill Solutions, D2N Technology, Ball & Doggett, King Springs, K&N Filters, Bolle Safety, Air Allied Sales, Credence Insurance, Ozwide Joinery, Styleprint and Out There Branding.

"The number 20 Seiko 5 Sports Supercar looks fantastic and I’m really excited to have Seiko onboard," said Pye, who is reading for his 10th year as a main-game driver.

"I got to work closely with them over the past couple of years and and they’re a longtime partner of Team 18 so for me to have it on the side of the car is fantastic.

"There are a lot of great sponsors on the car that have continued to be a partner of the team this year.

"To tie in with the launch of the new Seiko Supercars Limited Edition Watch is really cool and they’re a very iconic brand in the sport through their partnership with Supercars and our team, so hopefully we can do them proud at the first event of the season."

Yuki Suganuma, Seiko Australia Managing Director, was excited to see the brand step up in 2022.

"We are thrilled to bring the Seiko 5 Sports Supercar to the opening event in Sydney to help launch our new Limited Edition Supercars watch," Suganuma said.

"Our partnership with Charlie and Team 18 goes from strength to strength and we hope the fans love both the car and the watch as much as we do."

Team 18 last weekend took the covers off Mark Winterbottom’s revised IRWIN Racing livery.

Schwerkolt was pumped to see Seiko step up its backing of his team.

"It’s seriously exciting to unveil the Seiko 5 Sports Supercar for the start of the 2022 season in Sydney," Schwerkolt said.

"Seiko came onboard nine years ago as one of the foundation partners of our team with Pulsar and it has been such a valuable and successful partnership over that time.

"All the stars aligned to bring this together with the launch of the new Seiko 5 Sports Supercars Limited Edition watch, it’s a step forward in performance and presentation reflecting exactly what we are about here at Team 18.

"Scotty is fired up to get back on track and he’s ultra-committed to the task ahead of us to be a consistent challenger this year."

The new livery will roll out for the first time at this weekend's Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight.
