Team HIFLEX’s Tony D’Alberto will run a new-look bonnet on his Holden Commodore VF at the Sargent Security Phillip Island 360, featuring Whip Parcel Logistics, a subsidiary company of regular bonnet sponsor VISA Global Logistics.
D’Alberto heads to Phillip Island full of confidence coming off the back of a splendid result at the ARMOR ALL Gold Coast 600 last month. Alongside co-driver Jonny Reid, D’Alberto steered his car to a strong fourth place finish on the Queensland street circuit.
“I have some fond memories from the Phillip Island circuit and we’re aiming to add to those this weekend,” D’Alberto said.
“Finishing fourth at the Gold Coast was a much-deserved result for our team and we’re all looking to continue on that upward trend… It’s great to have Whip Parcel Logistics on the bonnet of my Commodore for Phillip Island.
“VISA has been a terrific partner for our team this year, and the initiative of them changing the branding shows that they are a pro-active and diverse company.”
Team owner Al D’Alberto echoed his son’s sentiments.
“It is always refreshing to be associated with a company like VISA Global Logistics. They are leaders in their industry and having them utilise the Team HIFLEX car to show off their other brands is a great touch,” Al said.
D'Alberto currently sits 16th in the Championship, his fourth place at the ARMOR ALL Gold Coast 600 equalling his highest finish of the year (he finished fourth at Winton Raceway, prior to the PIRTEK Enduro Cup).
The Sargent Security Phillip Island 360 kicks off on Friday with three practice sessions. Saturday’s on-track action features qualifying and the 60/60 Super Sprint race in two 60km halves, while Sunday will have two qualifying sessions and two 100km races.
