Following the announcement this morning that Matt Stone Racing will have Jake Kostecki and Zane Goddard return as full-time drivers in 2021, the team also announced the continuation of their partnership with major sponsors Yellow Cover and UNIT.

Jake will remain in the #34 UNIT Racing machine while Zane will step across to the #35 Yellow Cover Racing rocket.

"UNIT is proud to announce its continuation as the naming-rights sponsor of MSR's car #34 and strengthen our relationship with Jake Kostecki as he enters his first full-time season next year,” said UNIT Marketing Manager, Toby Lynch.

“As an Australian-owned and run brand it has always been important for us to support local athletes, events and sports, and we are pleased to reaffirm our commitment to Supercars and helping to develop up and coming drivers via the UNIT Racing platform.”

On his sponsorship Kostecki said:

“I’m also very excited to be driving in the UNIT Racing car in 2021. To have them onboard as our naming rights again is very exciting because they have a lot to offer for myself and the team.”

“I can’t wait to get the season rocking, the team is in good shape, the calendar looks great and I believe we’ll have fans back, so it is going to be an exciting year.”

NTI’s Head of Motor Portfolio, Nick Dendrinos says, “Yellow Cover look forward to returning trackside in 2021 and supporting MSR’s new line-up. We’re thrilled to see both rookies get the opportunity to step up. We’re excited for Zane and we’re here to back him all the way.

“We can’t wait to reveal the new #35 livery. The Yellow Cover car will be unmistakable. Watch this space”.

Goddard said:

“I am really excited to work alongside Yellow Cover and NTI in the number 35 car for the season.

“Obviously NTI has been such a fantastic supporter of not only MSR but the whole Supercars category, especially in 2020 when there were so many what ifs going on with the championship because of COVID and you know they really stuck by us and the category, really helping everything progress.

“I’d like to give a thanks to them in the form of good results in 2021. That’s the goal. For them to really put their faith in me as well as the team it’s pretty cool. Looking forward to it all. “

In the statement issued by the team this morning, MSW said:

“The team at MSR are focused on consistency as they head into their second season with young guns Zane and Jake.

“Although this year’s season was shorter than expected, the team are super impressed with their commitment and determination and believe they have the potential and promise in achieving great results in the 2021 season.

“Matt Stone Racing is committed to helping young drivers move through the ranks and this is proof that the SuperLite program is an excellent stepping stone for young, up and coming driver’s chasing their dreams".
