The iconic Mount Panorama sign that can be spotted from afar has been repainted ahead of the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 next month.

It took four signwriters a total of 12 hours and 800 litres of paint to have the sign in tip-top shape, just in time for the October 15-18 event.

The work comes as celebration of the launch of Taubmans Professional – a new, exclusive range of paint at Bunnings. Bunnings Trade is an official partner of the Bathurst 1000.

The local Bunnings Warehouse Bathurst tinted the paint used for the sign to ensure the highest quality finish, with Sign Event providing the signwriting services as it has at the hallowed circuit for 21 years now.

This is just the second occasion in that 21 years that the sign has been repainted thanks to Sign Event.

The Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 will mark the final event of the 2020 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.
