Island State Drift Team takes on Tassie's hairpin

The upcoming NED Whisky Tasmania SuperSprint will host a unique drifting exhibition.

The 2022 Repco Supercars Championship will return to Symmons Plains International Raceway on March 26-27.

The event will feature an on-track entertainment extravaganza, headlined by local drifting heroes from the Island State Drift Team.

Drifting superstars set to rip up Symmons Plains

Five drift cars packing serious horsepower will take to the Symmons Plains circuit to burn up some rubber.

Led by current Drift All-Star Series Pro Brodie Maher, the collaboration with the local drifting talent will create an epic spectacle for fans.

"Island State Drift was created by the drivers for the drivers," Maher told Supercars.com.

"We are local car enthusiasts who have a passion for adrenaline-pumping motorsport.

"Our events are action-packed, inclusive and we encourage positive vibes only.

"We are focussed on growing grassroots motorsport and positively impacting the local car scene." 

Off-track entertainment will return in a big way when Supercars hit the track at Symmons Plains.

The much-loved Pit Lane Fan Experience returns in its usual format this year, and will take place on Sunday, March 27 at 8:35am AEDT.

Kids entertainment includes face-painting, balloon artistry, stilt walkers and demonstrations in the family zone by renowned stunt bike rider Borys Zagrocki.

Support categories have also been confirmed for the event.

V8 SuperUtes, Aussie Racing Cars and the return of the Tasmanian Tin Tops will also be on track.

All entertainment and the Kids Zone are free with every ticket.
