Live updates: Winton test

Victorian teams will hit the track at Winton Motor Raceway today for a crucial pre-season hit-out.

Chaz Mostert makes his return to V8 Supercars since his season ending crash at last year’s Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, which was unveiled this morning.

The 2014 Bathurst 1000 winner will step into his new Supercheap Auto Racing Ford Falcon for the first time as his Prodrive team completes its first official test day of 2016.

He will be joined teammate and 2015 V8 Supercars Champion Mark Winterbottom, as well other Victorian-based V8 Supercars teams as they cut their first test laps ahead of the season-opener at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide, running from March 3 to 6.

Queensland teams tested on Thursday at Queensland Raceway, and Erebus Motorsport has elected to postpone its test until Thursday of this week, along with Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport.
