LIVE CHAT: Lowndes and van Gisbergen

V8 Supercars first centurion Craig Lowndes and his soon-to-be Triple Eight teammate Shane van Gisbergen will answer your questions at 12pm EST today, ahead of their appearances on Inside Supercars this evening.

Lowndes, who is running second in the Championship, achieved 100 V8 Supercar wins at the last event in Darwin on the Saturday, before tyre trouble in Sunday's big points 200km race saw him finish 15th.

The Red Bull fan favourite is 95 points away from Mark Winterbottom and the lead, but is looking forward to heading to Townsville later this week where he will push for his first ever win at the Reid Park hybrid circuit.

Meanwhile van Gisbergen sits fifth in the title fight. He ended last year runner-up after overtaking Lowndes and Winterbottom at the final event at Sydney Olympic Park.

There's plenty of talk about van Gisbergen's switch for next year, when he will race at Triple Eight along with Lowndes and six-time champ Jamie Whincup, but the Kiwi is as focussed as ever on bringing the Championship crown to TEKNO, the small family team he races for this season.

Tonight on Inside Supercars the two will be joined by Australian boxer Danny Green, alongside host Greg Rust and expert panellist Mark Skaife, to talk about this weekend's Castrol EDGE Townsville 400.
