With just a 40-minute break between races, cars are already gridding up for the second race of the day, Race 14 of the Championship at the Austin 400.

Race 13 winner Jamie Whincup starts from pole, alongside teammate Craig Lowndes, who finished second in today's earlier race. From there it's Coulthard, Van Gisbergen, Webb, Rick Kelly, Will Davison, Premat, McLaughlin, Moffat.

Keep an eye on the Nissans – this is the first time two of the four have qualified within the top 10.

Clean off the start – Webb gets a good start but Van Gisbergen a slow start. Webb into third behind Whincup and Lowndes.

Rick Kelly is up to fifth.

L3 Wall out of the car, which is off the circuit. An oil pressure problem.

Van Gisbergen quickest on lap 3, 0.24sec quicker than Whincup's lap.

L4 Engel is in pit lane – pit window hasn't opened so some kind of issue.

Van Gisbergen the first in the 34s with a 34.9059sec on lap 4.

Front left window missing on Alex Davison's car. All four FPR drivers suffered from the temperature during Race 13.

L7 and Bright locks it up and knocks the front of Todd Kelly. Bright back down in 23. Battling with Holdsworth.

Whincup posts the quickest lap on lap 8, though Lowndes has done the quickest first sector on lap 9.

L10 and the order is Whincup, Lowndes, Webb, Van Gisbergen, Rick Kelly, Will Davison, Moffat, Premat, Reynolds. And the pit stops are beginning with Coulthard, Winterbottom, McLaughlin, Ingall, Courtney, Todd Kelly, Mostert, Holdsworth, Slade and Engel all pitting. Bonnet is up on the Slade car.

Again Caruso, Pye and Bright are the only ones in the field to have not pitted. We're on L18.

Behind those three are Whincup, Lowndes, Coulthard, Van Gisbergen, Webb.

L23 There's a battle between Van Gisbergen and Coulthard for effective third.

L25 Caruso in for his stop, two rear tyres.

One to go and it's Whincup, Lowndes, and Coulthard and Van Gisbergen who are battling hard for third. Webb is behind but part of the battle.

Final lap and Webb gets through on Van Gisbergen.

It's Whincup, Lowndes, Coulthard, Webb, Van Gisbergen, Winterbottom, McLaughlin, Rick Kelly, Will Davison, Moffat as top 10. Bright in 21 – today won't have fared well for his Championship.
