Qualifying is about to begin to determine the grid for Races 15 and 16 at the Circuit of the Americas, for the Austin 400, with two back to back 15-minute sessions. 

Will yesterday's pole sitters Jamie Whincup and Fabian Coulthard go to the top of the times again – and can Red Bull Racing Australian be stopped? 

With 10 mins to go, Rick Kelly's Nissan is fastest, with Caruso in second. 

The TEKNO cars appear at the top, with Van Gisbergen and Webb respectively going to the top. Just under nine minutes to go and Whincup is at the top. 

It's Whincup, Webb, Lowndes, Rick Kelly, Wall, Mostert, Tander, Caruso, Van Gisbergen, Moffat – that's three Nissans in the top 10 and just one Ford. 

Scott Pye appears with just over 7 mins to go, in eighth. 

Whincup's lap is within the 32s - a 1min32.5796. 

Under 7 to go and Coulthard and Bright appear in fourth and fifth.

A Mercedes also in the 10, with Slade in p6. 

After a fairly quiet day yesterday, Winterbottom is in second. Both GRM cars appear in the 10. Lowndes has dropped to 10th. 

Courtney down in 21st. Alex Davison 24 and Reynolds last in 28th. 

Three minutes to go – we'll see some shuffles here. Fiore into p8. 

Lowndes the quickest first sector, down in 12th. Coulthard and Whincup also fast first sectors. 

Lowndes is fastest by just 0.0294sec from Whincup. 

20 secs to go and Whincup goes to the top. 

Chequered flag out but still many to complete their last laps. 

And our top 10 for race 15 is Whincup, Lowndes, Coulthard, Winterbottom, Rick Kelly, Webb, Van Gisbergen, Bright, Todd Kelly, Tander.

Nine mins to go and Lowndes has a fastest first sector.

Qualifying 16 has begun.

Winterbottom and Reynolds quickest ealy. Tander the first into the 32s with a 1min32.8488. McLaughlin into the second spot. 

Webb's last lap deleted. 

Lowndes tops Tander by 0.1240 for first. 

Just over 7 mins to go and 10 is Lowndes, Tander, Caruso, McLaughlin, Bright, Todd Kelly, D'Alberto, Cortney, Coulthard and van Gisbergen. 

The fastest car is 7 tenths off the record set yeserday by Whincup. 

Whincup's door open around turn one?

Three mins to go and the top five remains. 

One min 30 to go and Whincup's down in seventh. 

Tander on top with a 32.2193. Then Rick Kelly, Wall. 

And Whincup with the fastest time of the weekend – a 1min31.9948. The first time into the 31s. 

Bright was on a flying lap and into fourth. 

Lowndes out of tyres in 12th. 

Top 10 is Whincup, Coulthard, Tander, Bright, Rick Kelly, Wall, Webb, Van Gisbergen, Caruso, Winterbottom. 

McLaughlin 11, Lowndes 12, Will Davison 14, Todd Kelly 15, Alex Davison 17, Courtney 18, Slade the first of the Erebus cars in 21.
