Brodie Kostecki’s sprint car comeback featured a victory at Toowoomba Speedway at the weekend.

The Erebus Motorsport driver joined Shane van Gisbergen and Cam Waters in taking to the dirt prior to the 2023 Supercars season.

Kostecki, 25, made his speedway debut at Toowoomba Speedway last year, and returned to the scene of his debut on Saturday.

The Erebus driver again drove John Weatherall’s Q95 car, this time with backing from Coca-Cola and Boost Mobile.

Kostecki's 13.064s in the Group 1C Time Trial dropped him into 10th outright in Group 1 qualifying.

He finished eighth in the 10-lap Heat 1, and earned entry through to the B-Main.

There, he claimed victory and secured passage into the A-Main — but a clash ended his night.

Lachlan McHugh claimed victory over Luke Oldfield and Jy Corbet.

Kostecki's speedway cameo came after he took to his Erebus Gen3 Camaro in testing last week.

Kostecki and teammate Will Brown lapped their Camaro to second and third on the time sheets at Sydney Motorsport Park last Wednesday.

Erebus will field two Coca-Cola Camaros in the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship, with the season beginning in Newcastle.

The 2023 Repco Supercars Championship will commence at the Thrifty Newcastle 500 on March 10-12.

Tickets are on sale on Supercars.com and Ticketek.com.
