Killing Heidi will headline a big line-up of Australian music acts at this year’s Coates Hire Sydney 500 at Sydney Olympic Park.

The ARIA award winning band will perform along with Rogue Traders with Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Stonefield at Cathy Freeman Park on Saturday December 3.

The Coates Hire Sydney 500 will be the final event of the 2016 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship and last time the race is held at Sydney Olympic Park before it moves to Newcastle next year.

Supercars Chief Executive James Warburton said the addition of three Australian music acts was another reason not to miss the event.

“We want to farewell Sydney Olympic Park in style and offer fans with the best possible entertainment experience both on and off the track,” he said.

“It’s been a big year for the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship and we look forward to the Championship being decided in an exciting season finale on the streets of Sydney.”

Killing Heidi lead singer Ella Hooper said: “We're super excited to join some of our musical heroes on this gig. It's going to be great to get up to Sydney, touch base with the fans there, have some fun in the sun and resurrect Heidi for this action packed show.”

The Coates Hire Sydney 500 will be held at Sydney Olympic Park from 2-4 December. Tickets are available at ticketek.com.au
