Macauley Jones’s #96 Holden will be back on track on Saturday morning after a late-night effort from Brad Jones Racing.

BJR mechanics worked until 1:30am on Saturday morning repairing the Wet & Forget Commodore.

Jones slammed the wall at the Dipper following contact with Shane van Gisbergen.

Van Gisbergen caught Jones at the end of qualifying across the top of the Mountain.

The series leader tagged Jones into a spin, and the BJR entry clattered the wall.

The Jones car sustained heavy left-rear damage, with BJR forced to repair the rear rails.

Van Gisbergen was later slapped with a three-place grid penalty, with Jones 22nd.

The #96 will roll out in the hands of Jordan Boys in co-driver Practice 5 at 10:20am local time.

Team owner Brad Jones praised his entire team’s efforts to prevent an all-nighter.

“They finished the car at 1:30, so by the time you get home, it’s pretty late,” Jones told Supercars.com.

“There was damage to the rear rails, and the steering arm.

“The boys did a fantastic job and it looks as good as new.

“One of the great things about our team is everyone chips in.

“Because of that, what could have been an all-nighter became a half-nighter.

“We’re all set to go again, and we’re ready to get stuck in today.”
