Going, going, gone

UPDATE: James Courtney and Cameron Waters have played down a spectacular incident during Race 10 at Winton today, resulting in the Monster Falcon flying off track.

Courtney was investigated for this incident, and another early run-in with Lee Holdsworth, and both were cleared with no breach of the rules for the HRT driver.

The drivers were fighting for 12th position, when Waters appeared to run the Holden Racing Team Commodore wide on lap 17 of 40. Courtney wouldn’t back out of the fight and made contact before the #6 speared off the circuit.

Tough day at the office for Courtney

Courtney also missed out on a top 10 finish, home 19th after qualifying eighth.

“When we got to whatever the sweeper is he just came across like I wasn’t there, so disappointing,” Courtney told supercars.com.

“Wherever we were running – eighth or whatever – is probably where we’re running.”
