What has Rusty said about his fellow drivers now? And what would he like you to ask at 5pm AEST today when he's live on v8supercars.com.au?

V8 Supercars veteran Russell Ingall doesn't hold back. And tomorrow you have the chance to ask what he really thinks, when the Repair Management Australia racer is live on v8supercars.com.au from 5pm AEST.

He's already started on a cheeky note, having a dig at his fellow competitors!

"Unlike some of the other drivers, I regard racing as - I go there to do a job," Ingall told v8supercars.com.au.

"I enjoy it as well. But I go there and the other drivers are buddies and mates and the rest of it - they tweet each other and social media each other and they're all best buddies - which I find a bit bizarre because when you get there on weekends you're direct enemies!

"Anyway that's the way they roll. I don't really do that. I go there, I've got a job to do, you do it no matter what, so I think the majority of fans appreciate that. You go there to race.

"I'm sure people will have questions about approaching racing that way, as opposed to being a love fest with everyone! And I don't mind answering those sorts of questions."

It's exactly these opinions that make the 2005 V8 Supercars Champion one of the fans' favourites.

"Because I'm probably - well, not probably," he corrected himself with a chuckle, "I like to say I'm the most 'experienced' driver in the category. And seen more than most other drivers too, both locally and overseas."

Racing overseas was a big talking point for Ingall last year when the possibility of full-time retirement from V8 Supercars was on the cards, and is still a major point of interest for the 50-year old racer.

"I'd like to see some questions with that as well -especially with the recent success of our newest hero (Daniel) Ricciardo.

"I've got views on how there should be more Ricciardos, looking overseas as well, because I think we've got some talented drivers there. So I'd like to see some questions come from that.

"It doesn't have to be totally V8 Supercar-oriented. Like I said, I'm one of the few who have seen both sides of the water, both Europe and locally, so it'd be good to have a mix of questions between the two."

Ingall was proud of the support he'd received from fans recently when over 50,000 voted on the v8supercars.com.au poll asking 'who will be the next new winner for 2014' - with 24 per cent backing him and Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport. Qualifying in the top three twice in Perth and a strong, but controversial run at Winton, showed the small outfit could mix it with the frontrunners.

"It's great to see people have faith in not only myself but the team as well," Ingall said.

"They think we've actually got the chance to win a race and to be honest, not that I've promoted it right from the start -I never went out and said we'd win races and win Championships at the start of the year - it was purely a building process and trying to get the team competitive.

"But especially after Wanneroo'squalifying performances we're starting to get a bit of momentum - so to have the fanbase say we're actually a chance at winning a race. That's pretty cool!"

And it's exactly why he's gearing up for a live chat tomorrow night.

"As I've always said, it's all about the fans and what they think, their reactions to it.

"We seem to have flown under the radar a bit and plugged along and all of a sudden we're playing with the big boys, which is an amazing achievement from us, I'd say.

"It'd be nice to answer some questions about that because I'm pretty proud of what we've achieved in the team and it's definitely nice to see the team get some credibility.

"You don't have to pay 10s of millions of dollars to get up the front - you can do it smart, do it wise and with a good team around you, get up the pointy end."

Log on to v8supercars.com.au at 5pm AEST tomorrow, Thursday June 12, to fire your questions at The Enforcer.

"My fanbase in general knows I don't pull any punches!" Ingall said.
