Christmas ham has gone from meal to memory and out-of-office auto replies are being turned off email programs – it's well and truly 2019.

In the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, that means preparations for the new season, which starts in Adelaide in just under two months.

Some teams and drivers will contest the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour on January 31-February 3, before Supercars pre-season testing in mid-February.

What have the drivers been up to recently? Supercars.com takes a look at the social media highlights as they enjoyed Christmas and welcomed 2019.

Newly-crowned champion Scott McLaughlin spent time in Melbourne and his New Zealand, before jetting off to the US with fiancé Karly.

His 2018 title rival Shane van Gisbergen has also covered plenty of ground, visiting the UK after racing a McLaren in Abu Dhabi.

Jamie Whincup and Cameron Waters have hit the, well, water.
