In a unique, NASCAR-inspired branding program, Heavy Haulage Australia (HHA) will join Walkinshaw Racing as a naming rights partner for 2014.

The HHA Racing war paint will brandish Nick Percat's Holden Commodore VF V8 Supercar for 12 events of the V8 Supercars calendar, and be unveiled at the Tasmania 400 in March. It will remain on the car through to the Phillip Island 400 in November.

This means Percat's Commodore - which will run under the James Rosenberg-owned Racing Entitlements Contract and in turn enjoys the continued support of HHA - will run a phantom livery at the sydney.com V8 Supercars Test Day on Saturday.

The theme of the livery will continue to evolve from HHA Racing's first year in the category. Fan favourites which adorned Tim Slade's car in the 2013 Championship include the Austin 400 'Stars and Stripes' and designs which replicated those featured on the HHA fleet of trucks.

Walkinshaw Racing Managing Director Adrian Burgess said the team was privileged to be supported by such a well-known company.

"It's great to work with a powerful Australian brand with considerable experience in V8 Supercars," Burgess said.

Percat is keen to forge a new relationship with HHA.

"I'm looking forward to working with HHA as they aim to increase their prominence in V8s," Percat said. " The 2014 season is only a couple of weeks away now and I just can't wait to go racing."

Heavy Haulage Australia Managing Director Jon Kelly said the company jumped at the opportunity to support an organisation with such a strong V8 Supercar pedigree.

"Walkinshaw Racing is the most successful team in V8 history, and it was the ideal team for us to support in order to strengthen our brand awareness in the industry," said Kelly.

Walkinshaw Racing will continue discussions with other potential backers for the exciting young gun's 2014 entry into the main game.

See Percat in action for the first event of his debut solo season, at the sydney.com V8 Supercars Test Day at Sydney Motorsport Park on Saturday - entry is free for fans.
