Drivers and teams arrived to a Mount Panorama enveloped in thick fog on Friday morning, with the first day of track action for the Repco Mt Panorama 500 delayed.

Supercars' official photographer Mark Horsburgh was on the spot on top of the mountain to capture the foggy scenes.

The Dunlop Series was the first category to hit the track just after 0930 AEDT after the fog cleared.

Super2 and Super3 cars followed the BP Ultimate Safety Car for two laps before being released in anger for Practice 1.
