Macauley Jones will carry colours familiar to Brad Jones Racing at this weekend’s Albert Park event.

The #96 BJR Commodore will be backed by tools.com for the Beaurepaires Melbourne 400.

The tools company backed Todd Hazelwood’s #14 BJR Commodore in Townsville last year.

The monochromatic black and white livery on the #96 was brought to life by 3M Films and PPG.

It comes after tools.com previously adorned the bonnet of the Jones Commodore in Sydney and Tasmania.

Jones is 21st overall after the first two rounds in Sydney and Tasmania.

"I’m very proud to have tools.com back on our car in such a show-stopping way," Jones said.

"I really love this livery... the #96 looks tough and is bound to stand out on track, even with that teammate of mine [Bryce Fullwood] trying his best to draw attention in his hot pink car.

"We’ve just come off the back of what was a pretty ordinary weekend for us as a team in Tassie.

"We’ve come home to Albury, regrouped and have turned out four brilliantly presented cars so we feel that there’s great potential to improve this weekend.

"BJR cars always seem to enjoy the Melbourne circuit and it’s been a minute between hit outs on the Albert Park track.

"We’re really looking forward to getting back to the GP and seeing all the fans that will be there."

Tools.com owner Pete Hosking added: "What an event to be naming rights sponsor for.

"I’m really looking forward to joining the team at BJR for this weekend's event."

The new-look #96 will hit the track for Practice 1 on Thursday morning.

The Beaurepaires Melbourne 400 will be headlined by four 20-lap sprint races.
