Macauley Jones will carry eye-catching fire-inspired artwork and a new naming rights sponsor in Darwin.

Brad Jones Racing has taken the covers off its third Indigenous livery for the Merlin Darwin Triple Crown.

The team has also confirmed Kubota as naming rights sponsor for the #96 Commodore.

Jedess Hudson, who designed the livery on Andre Heimgartner’s car, also did the artwork on the Jones car.

Emerging Indigenous artist Hudson took inspiration from Kubota’s agricultural and construction background.

The livery has been brought to life by 3M Films and PPG.

She designed 'Biri (Fire) Circles’, which is centred on fire’s influence on agriculture.

"Traditionally, fire has been used as a tool for managing country for countless generations," Jedess explained.

"The artwork on Macauley’s car is called 'Biri (Fire) Circles'.

"Fire is an integral part of life. It allows the land to regenerate, germinate seeds and clears the undergrowth of the land.

"This makes way for new ground to grow and ensures wildlife have fresh food to feast on.

"Biri can leave such devastation but is very much needed and symbolic in our own cycles of life."

Malcolm Owens, Kubota Australia General Manager for Marketing Australia and New Zealand, added: "The design came together so seamlessly.

"We’re thrilled with how the car looks.

"Another great job by the BJR design team and the young artist involved."

Jones is 17th in the standings heading to Darwin.
