Feeney: Erebus has raised the bar

Broc Feeney has ceded Erebus Motorsport has “raised the bar” in 2023, with the Coca-Cola Camaros leading the way this season.

After four rounds, Brodie Kostecki leads Will Brown by 87 points, with the latter winning two races in Tasmania.

Brown won Saturday’s Race 10, before cruising home in Race 12, just hours after Feeney won Race 11.

Erebus and Triple Eight have shared 11 of the 12 wins this season, with Brown and Feeney winning three each.

Kostecki has won two, with Shane van Gisbergen winning three.

Erebus leads the teams’ championship over Red Bull Ampol Racing by 276 points, with Kostecki and Brown first and second.

Feeney, who is 191 points from the series lead, admitted Triple Eight needs to raise the bar to keep with Erebus.

“It was a pretty good Sunday for us, and even better that we get to bring some silverware home,” Feeney said.

"We got a win and a second today, and #97 had a great recovery in the last race.

"I still feel like every weekend I’m only getting better.

"It was a bit over 12 months ago that I got my first podium here, so it was great to be back in Tassie.

"I feel like we’re continuously building and building, and I’ve been driving a lot of cars as well.

"We have to keep lifting our game because the Erebus boys have certainly raised the bar this year and we have to keep hunting them down.”

Kostecki leads Brown by 87 points, with Mostert 166 points down in third. Van Gisbergen is fourth, 172 points down.

The 2023 Repco Supercars Championship will resume at the betr Darwin Triple Crown on June 16-18.
