Supercars drivers have kept us entertained throughout 2022, both on and off the track.

From meeting their childhood heroes to sharing their human side, the stars of Supercars have provided plenty of antics.

Supercars.com takes a look back at some of the unusual, entertaining, and downright funny off-track moments from the 2022 season.

PremiAir Racing's flash mob

Supercars’ newest team, PremiAir Racing, surprised fans at its first-ever ride day in March.

Fresh off its first Supercars round, PremiAir Racing hosted sponsors and members at Sydney Motorsport Park.

The team entertained guests with a DJ in its pit lane garage with a flash mob-style dance performance.

F1 drivers in Supercars

Formula 1 returned to Australia for the first time in two years back in April.

Supercars joined the undercard for the third round of the 2022 F1 season, for the Beaurepaires Melbourne 400.

There, veterans Fernando Alonso and Sergio Perez steered Supercars at Albert Park.

Perez drove a Red Bull Ampol Racing Commodore, while Alonso wheeled Thomas Randle's Tickford Mustang.

Will Brown's Top Gun cameo

Away from the racetrack, Erebus Motorsport driver Will Brown is a keen pilot.

The 24-year-old has flown his Glasair plane to several Supercars events during his two full-time seasons.

In June, the Toowoomba local took the opportunity to visit the first Gen3 preliminary VCAT at Wellcamp Airport.

There, the larrikin had some fun showing off his best Top Gun impression.

McLaughlin as Pikachu

Off Camber: Gold Coast 2022 Edition

Scott McLaughlin returned to the Supercars paddock in 2022, albeit as a spectator at the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500.

The three-time Supercars champion appeared earlier in the weekend wearing a Pokemon Pikachu outfit, before enjoying a front-row seat to van Gisbergen's celebratory burnout.

Frosty and The Rock

Johnson spoke with Winterbottom from Los Angeles ahead of practice during the Repco Bathurst 1000.

The pair discussed motorsport, parenthood, and whether The Rock would ever want a spin in a Supercar.

Mostert’s cheeky Larko impression

Mostert's hilarious Larko impression

Supercars technical expert Mark Larkham reported from pit lane and the Hino Hub across the 2022 Repco Supercars Championship season.

In his signature style, 'Larko' broke down the technical side of Supercars, across all 13 championship rounds.

In Bathurst, Larko headed to the Walkinshaw Andretti United garage to explain the adjustments drivers make to the cars during practice.

During Larko’s live cross with commentators Neil Crompton and Mark Skaife, Chaz Mostert took the opportunity to have some fun.

Mostert’s charitable new 'do'

Mostert's new hair for noble cause

Chaz Mostert was sporting a new look for this year’s Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500.

The WAU driver showed off his pink hair ahead of the Surfers Paradise opener.

The two-time Bathurst 1000 winner is known for his striking hairstyles, he won last year’s Great Race with a blonde mohawk.

Mostert explained the new do was to help raise awareness for breast cancer research and #nosocialhate campaign.

Grove Racing’s parting gift gag for Holdsworth

Retiring Supercars driver Lee Holdsworth received a special parting gift in Adelaide.

Grove Racing presented the 39-year-old with a mobility scooter, ahead of his final race as a full-time driver.

Teammate David Reynolds surprised Holdsworth with the scooter, which was presented alongside a walking stick, dressing gown, slippers, glasses, and a 10-litre keg of NED Whisky.

Tickford Racing’s post-gala video

Cam Waters and Thomas Randle might have had a big night after the Supercars gala, but has anyone seen Jake Kostecki?

The 2023 Repco Supercars Championship will commence in Newcastle next March.
