He has been one of the standout performers recently, with his first solo podium result in Sydney - Nick Percat had a quick chat with v8supercars.com.au about what he's like away from the track.

V8supercars.com.au: If you could pair up with any main driver at Bathurst, who you haven't raced with before, who would it be?

Percat: "I reckon, in my team, it'd be JC [James Courtney] just so we could throw gags around all weekend. It'd just be a great time and some mild comedy all weekend."

The last concert/sporting event/gig you attended as a fan?

"The last concert I went to ...it was quite funny, I was with Lucas Dumbrell and Kristian Lindbom and we were in one of Garry Dumbrell's corporate boxes to watch Lady Gaga. This was, like, '09, I reckon - that was ages ago with Lucas.

"But more recently I've been to the footy - I took Olly (co-driver Oliver Gavin) to the footy to see some AFL, the first qualifying final, Hawks and Geelong. He loved it, he loved the banter and the crowd yelling out."

Thanks @MorrisFinance for sorting tickets for tonight's game. Got the #222 crew here. @olivergavin, Glen and Brad. pic.twitter.com/1fGFTYg29Z

Do you have a go to karaoke song?

"Something old school. I'm terrible with songs..."

You're not a music buff?

"I know a lot of words to a lot of songs, but I can never remember the names of them. It'd be something '80s."

Michael Caruso's question from the last fast five - if you could meet any celebrity, who would it be and why?

"I would have to have him in character - Ron Burgundy. So I can laugh at him the whole time. Just love Anchorman and tent to end statements with a question mark instead of what they should be. I'd definitely be going for that."

Your question for the next driver?

"That's such a hard question to answer."

Who knows better about what to ask a race car driver than another racing car driver?

"This is true.

"It could be something smart-arse - like, when you say you're busy all week, I'm pretty sure you're just sitting on the couch ... Ask, what do you actually do during the week - and it can't be 'I go to training'. What do you actually do?"

See Percat on-track with Oliver Gavin at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 - beginning in a week's time. Tickets are available now.
