Supercars has issued an update for official pre-season testing at Winton amid the removal of Victoria's lockdown.

The test day was shifted from Tuesday February 16 to Friday February 19 in the wake of the five-day snap lockdown.

As a precautionary measure, fans will no longer be able to attend Friday's test in northern Victoria.

"Testing for the Victorian Supercars teams at Winton will take place on 19 February as planned, but without any public attendance, in order to mitigate risk prior to Bathurst," a Supercars spokesperson said.

"To further mitigate risk to the championship, all staff and team members attending the Winton test from NSW or Queensland have been directed to make travel plans that avoid the Greater Melbourne area.

"All attendees must comply with applicable Victorian Government Health restrictions, including the wearing of masks when 1.5m of social distancing cannot be maintained or there is no applicable legal exemption from wearing one."

Queensland-based teams ran in Ipswich last Friday, with Matt Stone Racing's Zane Goddard setting the quickest time of the day.

The 2021 season will commence at Bathurst next weekend with the Repco Mt Panorama 500. Tickets are on sale now.
