Fans react to Randle's full-time drive confirmation

Praise has flooded in for Thomas Randle, who on Friday was confirmed as part of Tickford Racing's four-car line-up in 2022.

The 2020 Dunlop Super2 Series champion will make his full-time debut next season.

The 25-year-old took to his social media accounts following the announcement, which came on a weekend he his competing as a wildcard in Darwin.

“I am proud to finally announce that I have signed with Tickford Racing as a full time Supercars driver for the 2022 season and beyond,” Randle wrote.

“A dream come true, and I couldn’t have gotten here without the support from my family and all my loyal supporters.

“Thank you also to the team for trusting me in driving one of their four Ford Mustangs next year. Bring on 2022.”

Tickford celebrated the confirmation of Randle, who previously completed two Super2 campaigns out of the Ford team's stable in 2018 and 2019.

Motorsport Australia also celebrated Randle’s announcement, highlighting the Victorian scoring the drive six months after completing his cancer treatment.

Fans also relished the news, flooding Randle’s post with congratulatory comments.

“Mega news! Congrats Tom,” one wrote.

“Yes!!! Fabulous news and so well deserved,” another supporter commented.

“About time! Proud of you mate!”

Randle will return to Hidden Valley Raceway on Saturday for Race 12 qualifying at 12:05pm AEST.
