Erebus Motorsport will run Holden badges for Saturday's Adelaide action in tribute to the departing brand.

The VALO Adelaide 500 is Holden’s last event in Supercars.

Erebus has campaigned Commodores since 2016, and has won all its races in Holdens.

The team’s greatest success — the 2017 Bathurst win — came in a Commodore.

Erebus has run its ‘e’ badge on and off since 2018.

The Melbourne squad last used a Holden badge in Adelaide in 2020.

Team owner Betty Klimenko was joined by Marc Ebolo, Managing Director of GM Australia and New Zealand, for the switch.

“This is our way of sending Holden and the lion off this weekend, and we know the fans will appreciate it,” Klimenko said.

“We want to pay our respect to Holden and their success in our category before we move onto the next chapter.”

Erebus will revert back to its own badge for Sunday’s action.

“Having the badge run on our cars for the last four and a half years has given me a sense of pride and humbleness, and I am so proud of my team,” Klimenko said.

“It is the last time that we will also be running the ‘e’ badge on our cars so it is a special moment for my team as well.”

Cars will hit the track on Saturday for Practice 3 at 11:00am local time, followed by the ARMOR ALL Top Ten Shootout at 12:35pm.

The first 78-lap race, Race 33 of the 2022 season, will commence at 3:15pm.
