The first complete Erebus Motorsport Gen3 chassis has arrived at the team's Melbourne workshop.

The chassis, named EM05, was collected from Max Medhurst Crash Repairs in Mount Gambier on Friday.

Erebus will campaign two Chevrolet Camaros in 2023 for Will Brown and Brodie Kostecki.

The Gen3 chassis is complete with rear clip section, and front and rear lower subframes.

A revised front clip will follow in the coming weeks.

The chassis was assembled by Erebus's Mount Gambier-based fabricator James White last month.

Erebus is one of only three teams that will construct its own Gen3 chassis.

EM05 is the fifth in-house chassis build by the Dandenong squad.

"It’s good to have our first chassis done, painted and now ready for assembly," CEO Barry Ryan said.

"Thank you to Marcus Stewart and his team at Max Medhurst Crash Repairs for their always incredible work.

"We have gone to great lengths to ensure our chassis is as perfect as it can be via the strict Gen3 rules.

"Our fabricator James White led the purchase and design of a brand new Gen3 specific jig system over 18 months ago.

"The quality of the end result is something we are all very proud of.

"Our chassis build process is world standard, all our chassis and clips made or repaired on our jig will be extremely repeatable and 100 per cent accurate."

The team's Gen3 chassis build timeline was slightly affected by the rebuild of the #9 following Brown's Pukekohe crash.

Brown suffered a major incident in early September, with Erebus forced to repair the car.

The repairs saw the damaged chassis sent off the Mount Gambier, where the Gen3 chassis was on the jig.

Erebus later rolled out three Commodores at the Repco Bathurst 1000, and all three cars finished in the top 11.

The assembly of the first Erebus Gen3 car will start immediately.

Teams are expected to begin testing of the cars in December,

Erebus is due to pick up the first of its Camaro panels on the Gold Coast this weekend.

"We want to get the car assembled as quickly as we can, though there’s still a lot of parts still to be finalised and then ordered," Ryan said.

"The plan is to have at least one car ready to test mid-December along with all other Victorian teams."
