Erebus Motorsport is set to further enhance its requirement for professional representation and be the sharpest looking team in the V8 Supercar pitlane in 2014 thanks to partnerships with BLK, Kings Apparel and Freem Racewear.

“On-track success is clearly our key imperative in 2014 but we place enormous weight on how our team is presented and represented, and in that regard we could not ask for better partners than BLK, Kings Apparel and Freem,” Erebus Motorsport CEO Ryan Maddison said.

“Nothing short of being the ‘best dressed’ in pitlane will suffice.”

BLK, formerly known as KooGa, has extended its existing relationship with the Erebus team as its Official Team Wear partner for 2014.

“For 2014 Erebus is a key part of our marketing strategy in rebranding to BLK and delivering the message that we’re expanding our markets globally beyond ball sports,” WRS group COO Shannon Moore said.

“Erebus enables us to showcase both our product and our brand in a quality, competitive and high-worth environment.”

While BLK has the Erebus team covered on-track, Kings Apparel has also stepped up its involvement to provide customised workwear for the crew as well as formal wear for those important corporate events.

“Strengthening the partnership with Erebus 12 months on, we now understand their needs not just for formal wear but also workwear,” Kings Apparel Managing Director Frank Marandola explained.

“We’ve been able to provide Erebus with customised workwear which utilises the clothing technology and demands that’s won us contracts with the armed forces, police and roadside service organisations.”

New to Erebus for 2014 is Italian racewear manufacturer Freem, expanding its involvement in V8 Supercar racing.

Freem specialises in bespoke high-end motorsport and karting products that are 100 per cent Italian-made.

“We are extremely proud of the opportunity to partner with Erebus and its Mercedes-AMG Customer Sports program, it is a perfect fit,” Freem Australasian director Richard Murrell said.

“We are working closely with Erebus to produce the highest quality, fully customised race shoes, suits and accessories designed to perform for the driver and the team.”

Along with drivers Lee Holdsworth and Will Davison, the Erebus V8 Supercar and GT pitlane crew will also wear Freem from head to toe.

See the new-look 2014 Erebus Motorsport machines at the sydney.com V8 Supercars Test Day, at Sydney Motorsport Park on February 15. All 25 cars and drivers will be present, and there is a fan grid walk at 12.30pm to get up close and personal with the cars and stars of the sport.
