Erebus Motorsport is proud to be breaking new ground in an exciting partnership with Cornetts IGA Supermarkets for this weekend's Castrol EDGE Townsville 400.

In a first for the organisation, Cornetts IGA branding will feature prominently on the windscreen banner of Will Davison's #9 Solar Australia Racing entry for this weekend's event.

Davison and Erebus Motorsport teammate Ash Walsh will also be making special visits to Cornetts IGA Supermarkets across Townsville on Thursday July 9 prior to hitting the Reid Park street circuit from Friday through to Sunday.

Cornetts CEO Graham Booysen said it was the company's first time supporting a major sporting event in Townsville in what is an exciting new community focus for the brand.

"We've got three stores and a lot of history with Townsville. This event is massive for Townsville and we want to part of that," said Booysen.

"It's our first major sporting event that we're getting involved in. We're looking at expanding the brand and becoming more community focussed.

"We want the community to know that we are part of the town and the exciting events that come to Townsville.

"We are really excited to be partnering with Erebus Motorsport this weekend.''

"We are thrilled that Cornetts IGA have chosen to partner with Erebus Motorsport in their first venture into V8 Supercars,'' said Maddison.

"The Townsville 400 is one of the biggest events on the calendar and we are proud to have Cornetts IGA along for the ride this weekend.

"The Cornetts IGA branding really stands out on the #9 Solar Australia Racing car and after Will's podium finish at the event last year, we are optimistic that the weekend will bring some really strong results.''
