Eight young West Australian karters were treated to an experience they won't forget at the Bunnings Trade Perth SuperNight.

Local karters Chloe, Sachen, Connor and Ben were four of eight young motorsport enthusiasts to step onto the grid at Wanneroo Raceway.

The kids featured on the grid for the Repco Supercars Championship and Dunlop Super2 Series.

The opportunity comes as part of the Dunlop Grid Kids Program, in conjunction with West Australian karting clubs.

Now in its fourth year, the program provides young karters aged between 12 and 15 a money-can’t-buy experience at Supercars events.

The young fans were treated to behind-the-scenes access, from garage tours to team meet-and-greets.

They also met their favourite drivers and gained valuable insights into a live race event.

The young fans also stood on the grid before the Supercars and Super2 races in custom race suits holding Dunlop flags.

"I can't wait to see inside the garages," Connor said.

"My favourite driver is James Courtney,” Chloe added.

“He’s a great driver.”

The Dunlop Grid Kids Program is the first stepping stone on a development pathway for young motorsport enthusiasts.

The program provides the future talent of motorsport a glimpse into the Supercars paddock.

It comes as Dunlop celebrates its 21st year as the control tyre of Supercars championship.
