Mark Winterbottom, Pepsi Max Crew, p1:"I had a really good car in that race, it was good to try and do those laps. When you're up the front and have a nice car you just try and go as hard as you can. They caught me at the end, Shane [van Gisbergen] and James [Courtney]. They came home pretty strong so we just did what we could and we got the job done. Another one, two is awesome. It's as good as it gets. Looking forward to the rest of the year you're going to have good days and you're going to have bad days so on our bad days we just need to be competitive. The overall aim is to be good across the 12 months."

Chaz Mostert, Pepsi Max Crew, p2:"We ran a bit of a different tyre strategy compared to some of the other guys so we struggled a little bit in that race but it was fantastic to be one two in that race even when you're tyres aren't the best quality the car still feels good. It has been a very promising weekend for us so we're looking forward to going to Tasmania. For me personally, as a driver, this weekend has been really crucial to get some of my confidence back after Clipsal. The car has worked really well all weekend, it's worked over all four races and different temperatures. My engineer Adam has done a fantastic job, he's moved with how the track has changed across the weekend and the car has felt spot on every time we go out."

James Courtney, Holden Racing Team, p4:"We ended up fourth, started fourth. There was a lot of drama off the startline with guys going when they shouldn't and caused a lot of issues on the first lap so they had to bring out the safety car. I was already past Jamie then they put us back behind him for some crazy, weird reason, I passed him on the outside of three and after the restart did exactly the same thing, passed him on the outside into three and he just drove me off the track on the exit. I had nowhere to go so I went through the little cut-through ... and that was it for the rest of the day. I think we had a faster car than what it showed but around here you can't pass."

Jamie Whincup, Red Bull Racing Australia, p5:"There was plenty of action in that race. After the carnage at the start, James Courtney passed me under safety car and then went through the cut through after he'd redressed the move. I was pushing hard to move up to fourth there, so we're not sure what's going to happen. At the end of the day, we improved the car and we put our best foot forward in the last race, but we just still weren't good enough pace-wise. I was pushing pretty hard, but could only just hang onto the guys at the front. There was no chance of being able to put them under any pressure. All in all, we've got a straight car, which is a good thing. We learnt a lot trying to go fast this weekend. Any top five, you can't be disappointed with, but we expect to be on the podium and we weren't this weekend, so we'll go away and do what we always do, try to improve and see if we can come out stronger next time."

Rick Kelly, Jack Daniel's Racing, p7:"It's great to be able to carry that consistency throughout the whole weekend.

"This event can result in carnage, as we saw with that opening race start, so to come away from the weekend with minimal damage and a straight car is a good result.

"We tried some different things throughout the weekend, made the car handle differently, and definitely made some gains; we just need to piece all of that together now and learn from it.

"To have four top tens, and move in closer on the top five, it's quite exciting.

"We can leave here with a grin on our face, not too excited because we would like to be higher, but it shows good consistency and progress."

Garth Tander, Holden Racing Team, p8:"Just finished race four and the cars are nice and straight, so from that point of view a successful weekend. Great car speed in the last one. We ran old tyres in that one, we used our three fresh sets in the first three races and ran on an old set in that race and the car was fantastic, really good. We've been trying things and weekend and the culmination of all things we tried we put on the car for the last race and it worked really nicely so a lot of things we need for Tassie worked so looking forward to going racing in two weeks."

Fabian Coulthard, Freightliner Racing, p9:"The cars at the back of the grid on that rolling start got to work early, it was too quick to have cars from almost a few rows back to be beside and in front of us before hitting the start line. To have contact with cars before we crossed the start-finish line is wild.

"We'd sustained damage at the start, even before we'd crossed the line. We found ourselves defending from then on for the whole race. It had affected the rear down force and so the car was struggling.

"It's a shame really, we've done so well here in the past and so to finish ninth overall is not what we'd hoped. We want to do well and our results are not from not trying; the team at Freightliner Racing put in 100 per cent effort as they always do."

James Moffat, Nissan Motorsport, p10:"That's just the type of thing that can happen with those ridiculous rolling starts.

"All it takes is one person to go when others are not and all you end up with is a chain reaction. I got hit up the rear like you would not believe and I was quite lucky that my car did not get turned around - that would have been a bit more messy.

"I'm annoyed that we've torn up a race car again with a lot of front and rear damage. That's part of racing, but in this case, very unnecessary.

"With a short turnaround to Symmons Plains, the boys will have more work on than they should have, but fortunately, I have one of the best crews in pit-lane, so I have no doubt they'll get the thing straightened up and sorted for Tassie."

Todd Kelly, Nissan Motorsport, p11:"I was right in the middle of that whole thing and managed to lose a few spots while I was trying to avoid some of the stuff that was going on around me.

"There were cars that clearly jumped the start, and with the Safety Car, I thought that they'd be able to readdress the positions, but nothing seemed to change.

"I had to then pass all the cars that I really shouldn't have had to.

"Overall, our weekend was OK. We ended up with the worst tyres we had in our bank and the car was by far the best it had been."

Lee Holdsworth, Walkinshaw Racing, p12:"We got a really good start, there was a bit of craziness going on and I was able to avoid all the mess and take advantage of it, getting into 12th on the first lap.

"We also had really good balance, we improved it and had the best set-up from the whole weekend, plus we were on decent tyres."We showed our true pace in that race and made a huge step forward with understanding the car, understanding what I need out of the car and we've now got a really good idea on our braking package and what we will use for the rest of the year...Overall it has been a successful weekend and my team did a fantastic job once again. I'm happy to get from 16th to ninth and it was great to have all Walkinshaw cars in the top ten."

David Reynolds, The Bottle-O Racing, p13:"I definitely improved the car in that last race. I was racing (Lee) Holdsworth at the end and he had much better quality tyres and I was keeping him at bay, which was good. We made improvements with the car but there's still a lot more we have to work on. It has been a fantastic first outing in the car. It's a whole different car, the balance is very different so we basically have to redesign the car, revisit all of our tools that we used to know or didn't know but it's a great fresh start."

Craig Lowndes, Red Bull Racing Australia, p14:"It was a very short and sharp race for us. We got caught up in the starting procedure and into turn one we got tagged from the back. We got spun around, which wasn't so bad, but then unfortunately Jason Bright got caught up with the whole thing and that was the end of the race for us. We damaged the car enough and being a short race there was no point fixing it, but we live to fight another day. Tasmania in two weeks will be good. We had a strong run there last year, so I'm looking forward to getting back there and getting out of this weekend to see what we can do."

Jason Bright, Team BOC, p15:"It felt like a reasonable tap, however the bumper took it all [off the start]. It didn't do extensive damage but enough to the aero so there was no way we were going to move forward. It was a shame as we were trying to progress and learn some things."We ended up with damage from the rolling start almost every time. It makes it hard to learn when you've got damage, so it is a pretty disappointing way to end our weekend."

Nick Percat, Repair Management Australia Racing, p16:https://twitter.com/NickPercat/status/576921830667210753

Michael Caruso, Nissan Motorsport, p17:"It's good to come out with a straight car.Anyone who watched that last race, I think most will agree that it looked like everyone's place on the grid was on the line! There was some ridiculous driving going on.

"I'm just glad we've still got a brand-new car, because there's a few sorry ones out there. We had a bit of speed in that last race which was good and lets hope that we can carry that momentum into Tassie."

Andre Heimgartner, Super Black Racing, p18:"It's been a good weekend overall. I think we made some progress and I think everyone is pretty happy so we can't wait for Tasmania and prove ourselves even more. We should get the FG X car for Tasmania so this has been a good send off for the FG. The start of that last race was pretty interesting but we came out of it unscathed, which is good."

Will Davison, Erebus Motorsport V8, p19:"I think we have some things on the car which definitely put us in better stead for Tassie, no doubt about that.

"I think we definitely had more encouraging speed but the problem was we qualified back in the pack, we could have been a lot further up all weekend. The car's actual pace was better than where we ran so that's a positive.''

Chris Pither, Wilson Security Racing GRM, p20:"I was rapt to have moved into the top 15 in the final race of the weekend. Unfortunately a dive from a car behind with only a few corners to run on the last lap sent me into the gravel. I was absolutely gutted after such a promising race to that point but that's racing. I can't thank the team enough for giving me this opportunity."

Scott McLaughlin, Wilson Security Racing GRM, p21:"It was a pretty good end to what has been one of the toughest race weekends of my career."I made a stuff-up in the first race and that stuffed my whole race weekend. I got into a tussle with Dale Wood in the second race and I spun him around. To be honest, it was a complete accident and I feel sorry for Dale and the guys. But moving forward, we have got a really fast car and that is the best we can take out from this weekend."

Ash Walsh, Erebus Motorsport V8, p23:"It wasn't the weekend I would have liked overall - the first three races it felt like I couldn't do anything right so I just wanted to go out there today and have a clean race and stay out of the trouble."I managed to do that and came away with 15th place. Obviously there was plenty of fireworks with some of the guys doing some silly stuff so it was good to finish the race without any damage."

Marcos Ambrose, DJR Team Penske, p24:"Probably the shortest race I have ever had to be honest. The restart rules are fairly clear but there seems to be a lot of confusion when you put it into practice. When the leader does take off, everyone is entitled to go and start racing before the start finish line. The back half of the field took off and we were down the back there, and it was like the leaders had almost stopped. There was a chain reaction accident and we were out. The Grand Prix weekend has been a tough weekend and now I am looking forward to Tasmania."
