UPDATE:

DJR Team Penske will race the #12 Ford Falcon today after a huge night of work on the damaged FG X at Pace Innovations.

The team confirmed this morning that Fabian Coulthard and Luke Youlden will race the SellMyCar Supercar, whether the car is ready for qualifying at 9.35am local time, or for the race at 2.25pm for which they will seek special dispensation from the stewards.

The car has arrived back at the circuit, though there is still work to be done.

Fabian Coulthard and Phil Keed have already been spotted on the ground preparing to run.

Coulthard thanked his team for their work and praised DJR Team Penske's never say die attitude.

“Obviously the boy haven’t had much sleep, if any," Coulthard told supercars.com.

"Yesterday looking at it short term I thought we wouldn’t even attempt it but there’s a never give up attitude here and if they can get it fixed they will.

"I can’t thank them enough for what they do – they’re definitely the ones who don’t get the credit when they should.”

The team posted updates throughout the night to keep fans informed of the progress.

Coulthard was tapped late in the race by Garth Tander on the high speed front straight yesterdat, slamming the wall around 265km/hour.

Tander was given an immediate drive through penalty, as well as a 10 grid spot penalty for today’s race after being charged with reckless driving.
