'See what we can do with the team': Le Brocq

It will be a special return to Sydney Motorsport Park this weekend for Jack Le Brocq, who is entering his final five rounds as a Tickford Racing driver.

Earlier this week, Matt Stone Racing confirmed Le Brocq will join the squad for the 2022 season and beyond.

Le Brocq will join Todd Hazelwood to form an all-new MSR driver line-up for the 2022 season.

The 29-year-old is 18th in the championship heading to this weekend’s Bunnings Trade Sydney SuperNight.

SMSP holds fond memories for Le Brocq, who won his first championship race at the circuit last year.

"Last time we were here, we were standing just down at the end of pit lane, and I got my first [winners'] trophy," Le Brocq told Supercars.com.

"It was pretty exciting, and it's pretty special to be back here in my final year with Tickford Racing.

"We've got five rounds left, so fingers crossed we can go out there and end the year on a high and have some pretty good results."

Le Brocq began the year with a charge from 15th to fifth at the season-opening Repco Mt Panorama 500.

He suffered severe foot burns at the event, and has managed three top 10s from the subsequent 17 starts.

His final Tickford start will be in Bathurst alongside Tickford's Super2 driver Zak Best for December's Great Race.

"It's actually pretty cool to end the year with Bathurst again," Le Brocq said.

"Zak's done well, we've had our co-driver test day and he's done a great job there.

"It's really exciting for him, as it's his first Bathurst 1000 at the mountain, it's pretty nerve-racking for him but we'll take him under our wing and make sure he goes well."

The 2021 Repco Supercars Championship will continue at this weekend’s Bunnings Trade Sydney SuperNight.

Tickets for all four upcoming Sydney events are on sale now.

All sessions will be broadcast live on Fox Sports and streamed via Kayo.

The Seven Network will broadcast live from 3:30pm AEDT on Saturday and 12:30pm AEDT on Sunday.
