De Pasquale, then daylight: Sydney speed breakdown

Anton De Pasquale and Erebus Motorsport were a class above at the Bunnings Trade Sydney SuperNight.

De Pasquale won Races 20 and 22, set the quickest combined practice time, and was the qualifying benchmark.

However, Erebus duo Will Brown and Brodie Kostecki also demonstrated brilliant pace all weekend.

Brown, who finished second in Race 22, clocked three of the fastest four race laps of Saturday's night race.

The three drivers also shared the fastest lap bonus points; Brown for Race 20, Kostecki for Race 21 and De Pasquale for Race 22.

Night pace was evident; De Pasquale's Practice 1 flyer would have placed him 18th in the floodlit practice session.

De Pasquale's fastest race lap from Sunday's finale was also 0.6s slower than Brown's quickest lap the night before.

Such was De Pasquale's pace, that he earned comparisons to Scott McLaughlin.

The combined margin of De Pasquale's three pole-winning efforts was over 1.5s; he topped Saturday's shootout by 0.528s, and the Sunday qualifying sessions by 0.656s and 0.392s.

His fastest qualifying time, his shootout-winning 1:28.077s, was nearly half a second quicker than any other driver across the three qualifying sessions and the shootout.

Conversely, the quickest Red Bull Ampol Racing qualifying lap was Shane van Gisbergen's 1:28.729s in the shootout.

The quickest Tickford Racing qualifying lap was Cameron Waters' 1:28.811s, also set in the shootout.

Five of the 10 quickest qualifying lap times were set in Saturday afternoon's shootout.
