Anton De Pasquale has recorded a top 10 finish in a 24-hour race in Dubai.

The Shell V-Power Racing Team driver, who won six Supercars races in 2021, placed sixth in the Dubai 24 Hour overnight.

The race was the first of seven races in the 2022 24H GT Series powered by Hankook season.

De Pasquale combined with father and son Stephen and Brenton Grove, along with German Sven Muller, to steer a Grove-backed Porsche to sixth overall, and sixth in GT3-Pro class.

The quintet of Axcil Jefferies, Christopher Mies, Thomas Neubauer, Mohammed Saud Fahad Al Saud and Dries Vanthoor won the race from pole position aboard their Audi.

De Pasquale is no stranger to GT racing, having made a number of starts in the Bathurst 12 Hour.

The 26-year-old has a long association with the Grove family, which will have a pronounced presence on the 2022 Supercars grid.

The Grove Racing name will make its debut in 2022, with the Groves buying out the remaining stake in the previously Kelly-run team.

De Pasquale wasn’t the only Supercars driver to record impressive extra-curricular results at the weekend.

Tickford Racing driver Cameron Waters continued his solid speedway season with a personal-best finish at Simpson Speedway.

Waters, who finished fifth overall in 2021, finished fourth in the A-Main, having finished third in the B-Main.

The five-time Supercars race winner raced from 17th to fourth in the A-Main.

The 13-event 2022 Repco Supercars Championship will commence in Newcastle in March. Tickets for the event are on sale now.

The 13-round draft calendar was released during the Repco Bathurst 1000 weekend.
