Will Davison has admitted the Shell V-Power Racing Team hit its ceiling at Albert Park.

The team scored three pole positions, but failed to convert either of them to victory.

Davison rounded out the weekend with two podiums, the last of which shared with Anton De Pasquale.

However, for the third round in a row, the team was left wanting.

"We did all we could this weekend,” Davison said.

“All in all, I had two poles, two podiums, three front-row starts, there are plenty of positives to take out of the weekend.

“It was good to have both of us on the podium today, together with Anton.

"We took a few big swings at the set-up then, I knew pretty early on, we were super loose with the car, so we pitted a bit earlier than we wanted to.

"I tried to put the pressure on Shane [van Gisbergen] as much as I could, and the car went better at the end of the race.”

De Pasquale finally scored an Albert Park podium, but leaves Melbourne further behind van Gisbergen.

"Today was a good day, started on the front row with Will,” De Pasquale said.

"We were able to maintain P1 and P2 and the race went straightforward from there.

"I think we definitely if had known what we know now three days ago, would’ve been handy, but that’s racing, and we move onto the next round.”

The 2022 season will continue in Perth later this month.
