Matt Chahda Motorsport has revealed its look and moniker for this weekend’s Repco Bathurst 1000.

Chahda and Jaylyn Robotham will field one of three wildcards in this weekend’s event.

The Chahda/Robotham #118 Commodore will carry Caltex backing.

The entry will run under the ‘Caltex Young Stars’ moniker.

The Commodore features major branding from Caltex with Techron®, with support from Jack and Co local stores.

The new-look car was revealed at the Caltex/Jack and Co Local Store location in Sydney’s Lane Cove on Monday.

"To have the support of a global brand like Caltex is a huge boost for our first Bathurst 1000 campaign,” Albury driver Chahda said.

"The car looks fantastic and knowing that we’re carrying the same branding as some of the most famous names of this race is exciting.

"It’s an honour for us to represent Caltex, giving us the best possible opportunity to take on the challenge ahead of us this week.

"Our preparation has been fantastic, and Jaylyn and I are as ready to go as we can be. We can’t wait to get on track.”

Teenager Victorian Robotham added: "It’s surreal that we have the support of a brand like Caltex for our Bathurst campaign this year.

“The build-up, testing and preparation have already been great.

"I couldn’t be more ready to go.”

Chahda and Robotham arrive in Bathurst in form, having impressed in this year’s Super2 season.

Robotham won the first race of the season in Sydney, before Chahda scored his first overall podium in Townsville.

Chahda’s father Amin is Team Principal, while decorated engineer Wally Storey will serve as Team Manager.

The Repco Bathurst 1000 will be held at the iconic Mount Panorama circuit this weekend.

The Caltex name returns to Bathurst, having famously had naming rights of The Chase.

Cris Gillespie - Head of Marketing, Chevron Australia Downstream, was excited to back the wildcard.

“This is an incredibly exciting way to be involved with Australian motorsport,” he said.

“At the biggest race of the year and with an ambitious team really looking to challenge the sport’s big names in their Bathurst debut.

“We’re proud to be supporting two young stars making their mark in the sport."

Cars will hit the track at Mount Panorama for Practice 1 on Thursday October 6.

Tickets for the Repco Bathurst 1000 are available on Supercars.com and Ticketek.
