Nissan Motorsport V8 Supercar driver Michael Caruso has been afforded a special privilege on the eve of the 2015 NISMO Festival at Fuji Speedway in Japan.

Caruso was given the test in the all-conquering Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 – the exact car that won the Bathurst 12 Hour at Mount Panorama in Australia.

The test on the Saturday comes ahead of the 2015 NISMO Festival, to be held today at the Fuji Speedway where Nissan and NISMO will celebrate its successful 2015 season with its passionate fans.

“I enjoyed it thoroughly. It was special, because it’s not everyday that you get to do something like this,” said Caruso.

“The biggest difference between the GT-R and my V8 Supercar is the aero. This car is so much more rewarding. It really sticks to the ground and you can get right into it.

“It was great to meet (Katsumasa) Chiyo and see Lucas (Ordonez) again. It’s not everyday you get to catch up with these guys. To get some advice from the NISMO Athletes and be here at Fuji Speedway driving the GT-R was special.”
