Fans looking for an inexpensive accommodation option for the November 14-16 Phillip Island 400 have the opportunity to camp at the circuit.

One of the world's greatest circuits, the picturesque Phillip Island should be on every motor racing fan's bucket list -and with this easy accommodation option, there's no reason not to head down to Victorian track this weekend, as Jamie Whincup looks to make history.

Ticket holders can stay at the Phillip Island Grand Prix circuit for just $70 per adult, with children 14 and under free. That price includes up to three nights of camping -Friday, Saturday and Sunday - so fans can pack their tents and take in the beautiful island as well as the exciting V8 Supercars racing.

Purchase the camp/ticket package and you save 10 per cent on the entry ticket for the three-day V8 Supercars event.

Wake up, grab some breakfast and with a 100 metre walk, you'll be trackside -no traffic or entry gate lines.

V8 Supercars Chief Operating Officer Shane Howard said the experience of camping trackside was the ultimate for any die-hard V8 Supercar fan.

"We're extremely excited to host V8 Supercar fans camping at the circuit this year at the Plus Fitness Phillip Island 400," he said.

"V8 Supercars is lucky to have such a passionate community of fans, who really come together and unite over a love of our sport when camping at the circuit.

Phillip Island's campground is connected to the Visitor Centre, spreading out across the centre's gardens and surrounding land. Patrons can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in the licenced Champions Caf, or take a short drive into Cowes for a meal or to buy supplies.

An additional special for campers is a 25 per cent discount at the circuit's go kart track (for those 12 years and over), with new French karts, launched last month.Able to hit speeds of 60kmph, these karts are a thrill to race around the 760m Phillip Island circuit replica track.

Whether you support Holden or Ford, Volvo or Nissan, or if the Erebus Merc is more to your liking, one thing is certain -camping is the smart option for V8 Supercar fans.

The campground opens from 7.30am on tomorrow, through to 9am on Monday November 17. Space is limited and is cheaper when booked in advance.

Secure your space now by calling the circuit hotline on 1300 728 007 or by downloading a V8 Supercar booking form on www.phillipislandcircuit.com.au.
