Bunnings Trade has thanked Supercars officials for their commitment to the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship at an awards ceremony in Bathurst.

The annual Volunteers Awards were presented during the officials ‘Party in the Pits’ function at Mount Panorama.

More than 300 Supercars officials and volunteers gathered for the social event, with Supercars drivers joining to mingle with the crowd.

A barbecue dinner, drinks and music started the evening, before an awards presentation hosted by Supercars CEO Sean Seamer and Executive General Manager of Repco Wayne Bryant.

Bunnings Trade joined in the honours, awarding 12 volunteers with a $100 Bunnings e-gift card for their commitment to the volunteer program throughout 2021.

“We can’t thank you all enough for the job that you do,” Bryant said.

“The way you have supported us for all the terrific Supercars events and of course the Bathurst 1000.

“We are so thrilled to be involved, but we know we can’t do it without you, so I would like t say cheers to all of us.”

Seamer added: “I want to say a big thank you from me.

“I know sometime you guys spend a tremendous amount of time out in the rain, the snow, the hail, all conditions, you guys put it on every day.

“We really, really appreciate that and thank you very, very much. I know many of you have been here since the start and we really appreciate it.

“This is an opportunity to say thank you and share a few cold beers with you.”
