This is the second of Will Brown’s post-event columns for Supercars.com. The Erebus Motorsport driver recorded finishes of 13th, 12th, and 15th at the NED Whisky Tasmania SuperSprint. Get the lowdown on Brown’s second event of his second full-time season.

Terrible. That's the easiest way to sum up my weekend.

It was disappointing to qualify so badly, and not be able to run up the front.

It was great to pass so many cars and still get to just outside the top 10 in a fair few of the races, but it was a disappointing weekend overall.

We had terrible braking and turn in the car, and that's everything you need around Tasmania.

It's such a short track that when the car is out of the window, it's very easy to be down the back. It was those small things that add up then you're down the back of the grid.

We threw a lot of things at the car, and then we couldn't make it better. I don't think we made it worse, but I don't think we made it a lot better. That was disappointing, as we were sort of heading in circles a little bit in the end.

It was fun to make a few passes, and there was a bit of argy-bargy going on there.

It was pretty exciting. Tasmania is one of those tracks where there's always going to be a little bit of contact throughout, with the layout of the circuit.

We kept the car straight all weekend, didn't get involved in any crashes, and made our way through the field.

It's always a big concern starting down the back that you might get caught up in something, I just wanted to make the best of a bad situation really, and to try and get as many points as we can, and not crash.

We ended up doing that, so we roll on. We know we will be competitive at Albert Park and a lot of other circuits; Symmons Plains is just one of those tough rounds for us.

We don't let the tough weekends get to us as a team though. We do the best job we can week in, week out.

We lost as a team, we had a hard weekend, but all of us have put that behind us. We think about the good rounds and just press on, and do the best job we can of it.

A big focus for us at Albert Park is simply to go faster.

Having not raced a Supercar there before, I really enjoy watching the past footage.

I sit down at night and check out the previous footage, where they have braked, where they turn in, all that sort of stuff.

I don't do a lot of simulator work, but I really find watching footage good for me, I'll just sit down watch it every night for the next week, and then go there and brake where I think I should.

Making my 50th race start is one of those things that, for a while, I thought that I might not ever get to achieve.

Race Radio: The SVG tyre bluff

I thought I was racing for fun and just doing the junior divisions.

To now be a professional driver and see 50 starts at the Australian Grand Prix, will probably be a little bit surreal, but exciting for me.

I think the Grand Prix is going to be awesome, having all the fans back, and hopefully, throughout this year, we will have maximum crowd capacity at Bathurst, Gold Coast, and Adelaide.

With the AGP being sold out Saturday and Sunday is just fantastic. Having the crowd there is what makes it pretty spectacular.

You get the atmosphere, and everything makes the whole show come together. I think the racing there is really cool, but having the fans there, really brings it all together.

It's been fantastic for myself and Brodie to have those fans who want to see us do well, and really support us.

I think that Brodie and I have been able to bring some of those loyal Erebus fans back in and a few new supporters as well.

I'm just grateful that so many people love to see us do well.

Brown will continue his 2022 campaign at the Beaurepaires Melbourne 400.
